PURPOSE:To transfer an image with no missing transfer even when a fed recorded material is thick and firm by making part or all of specific recorded material guide members movable. CONSTITUTION:Upper and lower transfer guides 16, 17 are arranged near the recorded material inlet side of a transfer section N and at a position higher than the transfer section N so that tip sections 16a, 17a face each other at the prescribed interval from the surface of the photoreceptor drum 1. The upper transfer guide 16 of the upper and lower transfer guides 16, 16 is fixed (stationary), however the lower transfer guide 17 is moved by a driving means 22 such as a motor, and its tip section 17a is nearly matched with the tip section 16a of the fixed upper transfer guide 16. The lower transfer guide 17 can be slid in the longitudinal direction nearly in parallel with the upper transfer guide 16 to the first switching position advanced to approach the photoreceptor drum 1 as prescribed and the second switching position where the tip section 17a is retreated from the photoreceptor drum 1 than the tip section 16a of the upper transfer guide 16. |
