TRANSMISSION SYSTEM AND RECEIVER

PURPOSE: To provide a transmission system and a receiver for a main signal and an auxiliary signal. CONSTITUTION: The transmission system includes a transmitter 2, a channel 4, and a receiver 6. The auxiliary signal is restored by a frequency control loop 8 which has a band width wider than that of the auxiliary signal. Restoration of the auxiliary signal in the frequency control loop 8 reduces complexity of the receiver. A series of digital signals are included in the auxiliary signal to be able to transmit additional information together with the main signal without making the transmission system considerably complex.
