PURPOSE:To perform offset printing by utilizing a gravure printing press by forming a stitch resist image corresponding to the image line part of a character or figure on a plate roll and applying chromium plating to a non-image line part so that the non-image line part becomes thinner than a resist layer. CONSTITUTION:When an offset plate is produced, at first, a photosensitive film 2 having predetermined thickness is applied to a copper plated ground plate roll (for gravure) to be dried and solidified in a first process. Next, the image line part of a character or figure is formed on the plate roll and baked, for example, by a laser exposure device so as to be left as a stitch resist image at the time of development and a manuscript is superposed thereon to be baked by a UV light source in a second process. Subsequently, the image line part is developed to obtain the stitch resist image 3 in a third process. Thereafter, a chromium plating film 4 is formed on the exposed part of the plate surface by chromium plating so as to become thinner than a resist layer. |
