[Also in Division D1] A bearing housing for a spindle has an upper part 1 adapted to be fixed to a spindle rail and a lower part 2 of plastics material. A radial bearing 3 is provided in the upper part and a footstep bearing 4 is located in a centering tube 5 in the lower part. A damping element 6 is disposed between the centering tube and the housing. A collar 7 is provided on the upper end of the lower part of the housing which engages in a groove in the upper part to secure the two parts of the housing together. The centering tube is of the same length as the lower housing part, and at its upper end is of such a diameter that it abuts the inside of the housing. |
