Bacitracin, prepd. by bacterial fermentation, is separated from aqs. solns. as a complex by precipitation at pH 2-9 with a water-soluble, advantageously alkali salt of a naphthalene sulphonic acid-HCHO condensate in presence of divalent metal salts in case of pH 5.5-9. - Complex of bacitracin formed with naphthalene sulphonic acid-HCHP condensate is suitable for animal feeding. - Bacitracin content is high, complex former is not resorbed in digestive system and damaging side-effects are prevented.
