摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a specular surface body which is uniform in its specular surface characteristic, also reduces variation at the time of its manufacture and is capable of reducing remarkably its manufacturing cost, by performing an alumite-converting processing after forming a specular surface, and sticking and forming a protective film consisting of aluminum oxide onto at least the specular surface by controlling it to a prescribed thickness. CONSTITUTION:An aluminum oxide protective film can be stuck and formed onto a specular surface formed on the circumference of a base body 13 by rotating the base body 13 and executing its anodic oxidation, but in this case, film thickness of the protective film is controlled by irradiating an optical beam to the specular surface of the base body 13 on which the protective film is being stuck and formed, and monitoring the intensity of its reflected beam. That is to say, a laser beam emitted from a laser oscillator 22 provided as an optical beam source is deflected by a deflecting member 23, and made incident to the base body 13. A reflected beam reflected from the base body 13 is further deflected by the deflecting member, and led to a measuring instrument 24 such as a power meter, etc. The measuring instrument 24 is connected to a controller 25, monitors intensity of the reflected beam from the measuring instrument 24, detects that the protective film becomes prescribed film thickness, and ends the alumite-converting processing.
