PURPOSE: A job information offering system and method is provided to enable job seekers and offerers to easily check an employment state by presenting the employment state by an index. CONSTITUTION: A job information offering system comprises a plurality of job seeking terminals(5), a plurality of job offering terminals(7), a network(3) and an employment information offering server(1). The employment information offering server(1) includes a job offering database(19), a job seeking database(17), an index calculation program(15), a controller(10), and a comparison program(13). The job offering database(19) stores information on the companies offering jobs such as a company history, an employee number, or employment conditions, and the job seeking database(17) stores information on the job seekers such as an age, a major, graduate schools or hope conditions. The comparison program(13) compares the data of the job offering database(19) with the data of the job seeking database(17). The index calculation program(15) calculates the employment index by using the compared result in the comparison program(13). The controller presents the employment index on a web site.
