IMPROVED BATHTUB-TYPE SPENT CATALYST DISTRIBUTOR FOR EFFECTIVE COUNTERCURRENT REGENERATION IN FLUID CATALYTIC CRACKING EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distribution method and a distributor capable of spreading a spent catalyst more uniformly over the entire regenerator.

SOLUTION: The spent catalyst 44 flows into and through a main trough 41 and, when proceeding along the main trough 41, is partially distributed through distribution troughs 43 disposed on the main trough 41 to the bottom part of catalyst bed (unillustrated). The remaining spent catalyst 44 is then diverted into sub-troughs 42 which branch out from the main trough 41 and is distributed to the catalyst bed through the distribution troughs 43.
