<p>The invention relates to conjugates of an antigenic material selected from the group of a toxin, or a fragment thereof, a toxoid and/or an adherence antigen derived from an infecting agent, wherein said antigenic material is covalently bound to a physiologically acceptable inert carrier, such as silica, chemically-modified silica, aluminium silicate, kaolin or latex. The conjugates are for use in vaccines for oral immunization against infecting agents, e.g., gastrointestinal microbial infections such as cholera.</p> |
