Self-cleaning filter for purifying solvents, in particular for dry cleaning, is connected to a supply line for the contaminated solvent and to a filtered solvent outlet fitted in a circle on a rotating shaft so that the complex is rotated in the liquid mass of the solvent in the chamber to ensure the cleaning of the filter surfaces of each element. The chamber has devices preventing the liquid mass of the solvent from adapting itself to the rotation of the complex or the complexes of filter elements when the entrainment of the liquid mass by the devices impeding rotation is prevented, as the result of which a turbulence is created between the liquid mass and the filter, elements in the chamber, which cleans the filter surfaces of agglomerated cleaning powder, dirt, grease deposits and the like. |
