PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible not to hinder concentration on driving while sustaining a state in which a driver of a vehicle is awaken.SOLUTION: Included are a speech quantity calculation unit 12 that sequentially calculates a driver's speech quantity, an awakening degree discrimination unit 13 that sequentially discriminates a driver's degree of awakening, a speech processing unit 17 that sequentially utters speech to the driver through a loudspeaker 3, a contents-of-speech determination unit 16 that determines the contents of speech, which are uttered by the speech processing unit 17, from query data, which refers to the contents of speech that requests the driver to return a response, and explanation data which refers to the contents of speech that does not request the driver to return the response. The speech processing unit 17 utters speech irrespective of the degree of awakening discriminated by the awakening degree discrimination unit 13. Based on the speech quantity calculated by the speech quantity calculation unit 12 and the degree of awakening discriminated by the awakening degree discrimination unit 13, the contents-of-speech determination unit 16 changes the ratio of one of the query data and explanation data, which are determined as the contents of speech, to the other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
