PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical resin lens having excellent transparency, low birefringence and mechanical strength and showing high durability and no deterioration in optical characteristics even under conditions of long-term laser irradiation in an oxygen atmosphere or other photo energy irradiation, and to provide a method for manufacturing an optical resin lens. SOLUTION: The optical resin lens is obtained in steps of molding a resin composition having <50 mass% tertiary carbon at≥100°C, and further heat treating the molded product. The obtained optical resin lens has excellent optical characteristics and mechanical strength and shows high durability and no deterioration in the optical characteristics even under conditions of long-term laser irradiation or other photo-energy irradiation.
