PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soldering iron that facilitates soldering by ensuring visibility without blocking a worker's eyes on a soldering spot with the iron tip, when electronic parts or the like are soldered on a printed board using a soldering iron. SOLUTION: In a soldering iron having a grip 1 for a worker to hold and a heating iron tip 2 attached to the grip 1, there is provided in the iron tip 2 a seethrough section that makes the rear side of the iron tip 2 visible.
