PURPOSE: A device for self-diagnosing electronic timing and alarm control system is provided to self-diagnose whether the electronic timing and alarm control system(ETACS) for controlling operation of various electric equipments mounted on a vehicle is failed or not and then inform a user of the diagnosis result through a dashboard. CONSTITUTION: In a device for self-diagnosing electronic timing and alarm control system, a microcomputer(10) of the ETACS outputs a door lock signal, a door unlock signal, a wiper signal, a room lamp signal, a trunk open signal, a power window signal, a defogger signal, a start inhibit signal and applies the signals to eight photo couplers(PT1 to PT8), respectively. After then, the door lock signal, the door unlock signal, the wiper signal, the room lamp signal, the trunk open signal, the power window signal, the defogger signal, the start inhibit signal reversed through the eight photo couplers(PT1 to PT8) are applied to a multi-plexor(20) having three output terminals(X, Y, Z). After then, the multi-plexor(20) outputs failure diagnosis signals corresponding to the door lock signal, the door unlock signal, the wiper signal, the room lamp signal, the trunk open signal, the power window signal, the defogger signal, the start inhibit signal, respectively, and feeds back the signals to the microcomputer(10) of the ETACS. Finally, the microcomputer(10) of the ETACS performs a failure diagnosing program and determines whether the input failure diagnosis signal is identical with the output control signal for the electric equipment or not to diagnose whether any failure is occurred or not.
