PURPOSE:To weld a hinge and a temple under the same pressure by constituting separately upper electrodes of the hinge side of a welder so that they become separate bodies, respectively, conducting electrically the current of a prescribed value to both the electrodes and also welding by press contacting the hinge to the lower electrode by a pressure balance device. CONSTITUTION:With regard to a power source system in the secondary side for supplying a current to upper electrodes 58a, 58b, two systems are provided. That is to say, transformers 72a, 72b are connected to power sources 70a, 70b, the secondary side output terminals of the transformers 72a, 72b are connected to the upper electrodes 58a, 58b, respectively. Also, other secondary side output terminals of the transformers 72a, 72b are connected to the lower electrode 40. In such a state, an equal low voltage large current is supplied to foils 56a, 56b, and also the electrodes 58a, 58b are made to abut on a male die 52a and a female die 52b by the same pressure by a pressure balance device. Accordingly, as for the foils 56a, 56b, the same welding state is obtained and the male die 52a and the female die 52b can be welded to temple members 46a, 46b by a prescribed joint strength. |
