PURPOSE:To obtain a thawing box in which thawing air is uniformly guided to a thawing chamber and thawing speeds of articles to be thawed disposed on and underneath the chamber can be equalized. CONSTITUTION:Thawing air is diffused down along a sidewall 10a of a thawing chamber 10 by driving a blower 6d. Pressure of the diffused air becomes larger at a lower side of the chamber 10 than that at an upper side since a gap 3 is closed by a bottom wall 1d. On the other hand, opening areas of groups of through holes 11a, 11b formed at the chamber 10 are so set as to be sequentially reduced from the upper side toward the lower side of the sidewalls 10a, 10b of the chamber 10. Thus, since flowing pressure of the thawing air is inversely proportional to the opening area, air flow rates to the chamber 10 above and below the chamber 10 are balanced, and the thawing air uniformly flows in the chamber 10. |
