PURPOSE:To prevent damage of a photoreceptor and a film forming phenomenon and to miniaturize an image forming device by preventing residual developer from changing its polarity even when it is subjected to the electrifying operation of an electrifying means, and, at the same time, removing the developer from the unexposed part. CONSTITUTION:Toner having the same polarity as electrification polarity is attracted to the part exposed by a laser beam 28, the toner is not attracted to the unexposed part of an electrostatic latent image, and the electrostatic latent image, which is negative, is developed by developing rollers 33 and 34. On the other hand, a transfer material P is fed from a cassette 35 by means of a take-out roller 36. The transfer material P and the electrostatic latent image move to an image transfer position, and negative charge is impressed from the back of the transfer material P, so that the toner image on the photoreceptor 21 moves to the transfer material P. Thereafter, the transfer material P is discharged by a peeling charger 26, to which a positive bias has been applied, to be peeled off by the photoreceptor 21, and it is subjected to fixing by means of a fixing unit 40. Because the residual toner on the photoreceptor 21 is electrified to the same polarity as the electrification polarity, it moves to the developing rollers 33 and 34, so that the photoreceptor 21 is cleaned. |
