<p>A method for managing circulation of physical objects (10) among a plurality of users (A - D) who are connected to a management center (12) through a telecommunications network (22), characterized by comprising the steps of:
a) on behalf of the management center (12):
- maintaining in an electronic database (14), for each object to be circulated, a static list (84) of potential recipients,
- receiving and storing object-related status information from the recipients
- maintaining and updating, in the database (14), a dynamic list (20) of active recipients by selection from the static list (84) by means of fixed criteria and on the basis of the status information, and
- allowing users to access the dynamic list (20) of active recipients via the network (22),
b) on behalf of a user (A - D) wanting to forward an object (10) to another recipient:
- consulting the dynamic list (20) of active recipients for that object and selecting from that list another user (D) as next recipient,
- physically forwarding the object (10) to that recipient,
- and sending status information notifying the next recipient to the management center (12).</p> |
