In a thermal switch having snap-blade 11, Fig. 2, operated by a thermally expansible strip 12, heated by a coil 17, an aluminium member 22, Fig. 6, is arranged between the coil 17 and strip 12 to store heat and thereby provide a time lag for the heating and cooling stages.
