In a method for supplying combustion air to a furnace arrangement for solid fuel with the opening to the furnace closable by means of two doors 4, 5 which are spaced in order to delimit between them an air-filled compartment, the combustion air is brought to circulate in said compartment prior to its introduction into the furnace. To this end, the doors 4, 5 are mounted in a frame 3 of hollow profiles, whereby air introduction means 1, 2 are connected to the lower part of the frame 3 for introduction of air into the frame. The upper part of the frame 3 is formed with a series of holes across its width for letting out into said compartment between the doors 4, 5 air which is flowing upwards inside the side parts of the frame 3. The inner door 5 facing the furnace has at its lower part an opening 6 for letting air out from the compartment between the doors 4, 5 into the furnace. <IMAGE> |
