The self-adhesive light fitting has a silicone envelope with a smooth surface on the rear face, allowing the envelope to attach to a smooth surface like a suction cup. The envelope has a slot to allow introduction of a lamp bulb in an internal air pocket. The lamb socket corresponds to an imprint of the base of the lamp bulb. The electrical contacts and the current supply leads are embedded during moulding in the silicone. The silicone material forming the envelope ensures effective electrical insulation. The outer face of the envelope is translucent to provide diffusion of light from the bulb.
