PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select resin composite material high in performance, and provide a method for avoiding interference therewith even if a sliding member and a back plate are deformed. SOLUTION: In a bearing pad where a sliding member is composed of mainly polyethel ethelketone of thermal plastic highpolymer composite, and of resin compounds added with polytetrafluoroethylene, carbon fibers and fluoride compounds, a relation of the thickness T of the sliding member with the thickness B of the back plate shall be T<B, and the thickness of the sliding member shall be set in such a way that the deflection of the sliding member deformed in a projected shape to the side of a rotating plate due to heat and load is cancelled by the deflection of the sliding member deformed in a recessed shape to the side of a fulcrum due to the pressure of an oil film caused by the rotation of a rotary plate. |
