Peelable sensitive adhesive coated substrates, (in particular labels) have a primer coat on the substrate comprising a contact cement and a peelable pressure sensitive adhesive coating containing a contact cement. The use of a contact cement as a primer and in the adhesive enhances cohesion of the adhesive coating and its adhesion to the substrate. This improves peelability particulartly by allowing separate optimisation of the adhesive as a peelable pressure sensitive adhesive. |
