A boot press for stretching boot materials at specific locations on a given boot so as to provide relief and space within the boot for the peculiarities of an individual's feet. The combination of press and dies are capable of receiving boot materials and stretching said materials so as to permanently alter the boot material in a manner which enhances the comfort of the individual wearer. Also disclosed as a feature of the press is a pivot head press lock for use on a riveter in conjunction with dies, where application of continuous pressure through the pivot head press lock on material contained between the dies stretches the material.
