<p>An apparatus (10) for edge processing of a sheet of brittle material (14), such as a sheet of glass, the apparatus including at least one nozzle (24) for directing a stream of abrasive particles (26) at an edge (12) of the sheet of brittle material (14). The apparatus may include a wiping device (54) mounted in close proximity to the apparatus (10) which uses pressurized air (58) emitted by a slot (56) to prevent particulate generated by the edge processing from settling on the surfaces of the sheet of brittle material, and a shroud (60) for collecting the particulate.</p> |
