Double-skinned fire screening closure for wall or ceiling - with heat expanding sealing strips inserted in sheets, and bridging joints

The fire-screening closure such as a door, flap or roller shutter, is for openings in walls or ceilings, comprising an assembled set of double -walled individual elements incorporating stiffener profile units and inlays of insulating material, in cladding sheet form. Intervening spaces (7) are left between the interfacing end surfaces of these individual elements (1, 2), for the insertion of sealing strips (8) which expand under the influence of heat. The cross-section of the spaces pref exceeds that of the unexpanded sealing strips, while the abutting points of the individual elements are covered on both sides by sheet strips (10) with underlaid similarly expanding sealing strips (9). Sealing is maintained in the event of deformation at the joints.
