A fire-protection-technical disconnection of connecting passages (4) between fire sections (1) to form smoke sections has at least one roof section (8) that can be traveled over at each connection passage, at least one drive device on the roof section and at least one automatic fire alarm which controls the drive device(s) so that the roof section opens the respective connection passage way to lead the smoke away. The automatic fire alarms in the connecting passageway are designed to be point-shaped or line-shaped. The automatic fire alarms in twin-technology circuitry control the drive device. The roof sections are provided with wind- deflecting plates supplying the smoke removal.
