The heat pump has absorber(s) and desorber(s) and a condenser and an evaporator connected together by a coolant circuit. The thermal medium branch of the condenser is connected to a thermal load and a thermal medium branch of the evaporator is connected to an ambient heat exchanger. The pump consists of several absorber/desorber modules (A1-A3;D1-D3) connected via the thermal medium circuit (W1) and coupled on the coolant side to a common condenser (13) and evaporator (14). A high temperature heat exchanger (HWT) transfers heat into the thermal medium circuit. A low temperature heat exchanger (NWT) is connected to the desorber and absorber modules via one branch and to the condenser and load via another branch.
