<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission including a clutch and a planetary gear set arranged adjacently to each other, the clutch having a clutch drum connected to the ring gear of the planetary gear set, useful in maintaining the sufficient engagement of the ring gear of the planetary gear set. <P>SOLUTION: The clutch contains the bottomed cylindrical clutch drum 110 cooperating with a clutch piston 140 to form a hydraulic chamber 150. The ring gear 21d of the adjacent planetary gear set 21 is connected to the bottom wall portion 110b of the drum. In this structure, the bottom wall portion 110b and the ring gear 21d are connected to each other via a disk-shaped connecting member 70, and the inner peripheral portion of the connecting member 70 is connected to an inner peripheral side part of the bottom wall portion 110b of the clutch drum. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
