PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To update and display a still image corresponding the image recognition interval of a driver variable depending on the traveling conditions of a vehicle by an arrangement wherein a CPU determines the update display interval of still image based on the traveling state of the vehicle. SOLUTION: A carrier of TV broadcast, for example, is received by a receiving antenna 22 and delivered through a diversity circuit 24 to a demodulation circuit 26 to produce an image signal. When stoppage of a vehicle is recognized based on a vehicle speed signal from a vehicle speed sensor 16, a CPU 12 switches a switching circuit 20a to deliver an image signal to a display 14 thus performing dynamic image display. On the other hand, the CPU 12 determines the traveling state of the vehicle based on a vehicle speed signal from the vehicle speed sensor 16 and information from a navigation system 18 and switches the switching circuit 20a to still image mode thus determining the display update interval of the still image. According to the arrangement, the driver can enjoy the display image appropriately without lowering concentration to the operation. |
