PURPOSE:To reduce the amounts of CO and odors to be generated by a method in which plural partition plates are provided vertically on the combustion chamber side of a red-hot plate in such a way as to suppress the concentrating phenomenon of flame to the central part for shortening the rising time of the combustion. CONSTITUTION:In a linear type combustor, since flame tends to concentrate on the central part due to the fact that the central part has the lowest pass resistance, the combustion chamber is plurally divided sideways by partition plates 9 fixed to a red-hot plate 5 to lessen the concentrating phenomenon of flame onto the central part. For this reason, local shortage of air and amounts of CO and odors by the lifting phenomenon of flame can be reduced. Also, the occurrence of heat stress by combustion heat and also of deformation of the red-hot plate 5 by thermal expansion can be reduced by the reinforcing action of the plates 9. |
