PURPOSE:To provide a device to protect an occupant by way of drawing a buckle at the time of collision of a vehicle and prevent turnaround of the buckle after drawing it. CONSTITUTION:A gear 49 is provided free to rotate through a long hole 47 on an inner stay 41 below a buckle 37, and it is stored in a section of a roughly square shape with one side open of a base plate 53 free to move. A recessed part 55 with which the gear is engaged while moving is formed on the inner peripheral surface of the base plate 53. A lock plate 57 to engage with the gear from below is provided on the inner stay 41. The inner stay 41 is drawn in downward by a gas generator 65 through a wire 61 at the time of collision of a vehicle, and the gear 49 is separated from the lock plate 57 by inertial force and rotationally moves. When the buckle 37 tries to move upward, the gear 49 inertially moves in the long hole 47 and is positioned downward and engages with the lock plate 57. Consequently, the drawn state is maintained. |
