PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide shelf facility capable of eliminating maintenance work in a high altitude place by eliminating an upper part chain and preventing it from swinging and falling down due to inertia horizontal force. SOLUTION: In each rack 6, a pair of horizontal members 21A among members constituting a lower part frame body 21 of the rack 6 are extended onto a rear surface side in the forward and backward directions, and a clearance t is horizontally provided along a straight passage part among travel passages formed by rear surface parts of each rack 6 by moving of the rack 6 above upper face height of a rear end part of the horizontal member 21A of the rack 6 to arrange a guide rail 30. Owing to this configuration, even if the rack 6 floats by stop of the rack 6, the horizontal member 21A is supported on the guide rail 30 to suppress its floating and avoid possibilities of swing and falling-down of the rack 6 even if there is no upper part chain, thereby eliminating maintenance work in a high altitude place.
