Cremating furnace with stacked combustion chambers - has flaps between chambers for controlled descent on simultaneous cremation

The cremating furnace has a number of stacked combustion chambers. The lowermost chamber is closed by a flap on which is collected the cremation matter from the combustion chamber above. The stacked arrangement of combustion chambers ensures that the number of cremations carried out in the same period can be doubled and it ensures that no mixing can occur when operated according to regulations. The lowermost chamber has a lower flap which collects the material for further cremation after actuation of the upper first flap. In the region of the first flap (11) seals are provided which seal the lowermost chamber (14) against the combustion chamber (10) above when the first flap is closed. Two interlock devices prevent irregular opening of the flaps.
