PURPOSE:To enhance the contrast and stability with the passage of time of an image while enabling the erasure of the image by adding a colorless or light-colored electron donating dye precursor and an electron acceptive compd. represented by a predetermined formula. CONSTITUTION:A colorless or light-colored electron donating dye precursor, for example, rhodamine B-p-chloroanilinolactam and an electron acceptive compd. represented by formula (wherein n is an integer of 1-3, A is a single bond or a 1-12C divalent hydrocarbon group, B is a 1-12C divalent hydrocarbon group, C is a 1-24C hydrocarbon group and X is a divalent group having at least one -CONH-bond) generating a reversible hue change in the dye precursor are added. As the electron acceptive compd., N-12-thiadocosyl-4- hydroxybenzamide is designated. |
