The present invention is directed to substantially linear vinylene carbonate/1-olefin copolymers, vicinal hydroxyl-functionalized hydrocarbon polymers having a mole ratio of methylene to hydroxyl group of greater than 1, processes of forming same and to films, coatings and articles useful in packaging applications containing said polymers.
