PURPOSE:To elevate system efficiency by effectively combining both features, by providing a magnetic recording medium and an optical recording medium on one side and the other side of a recording disk, respectively, and executing magnetic or optical recording and reproducing, depending on a quality of a signal. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic medium 11 is formed by providing an optical recording medium 12 and a magnetic recording medium 13 on one side and the other side, respectively, and is rotated by a motor 15. And, large capacity information such as documentary information is recored or reproduced on the optical recording medium 12 surface by an optical head 16, and information such as index information of about 1/100, as compared with deocumentary information is recorded or reproduced on the magnetic recording medium surface 13 by a magnetic head 18. Accordingly, when the magnetic recording medium 13 and the optical recording medium 12 are made to the same medium, documentary information and control information can be stored in the same medium, therefore, the medium can be controlled very esily, and the system control can be elevated. |
