Flow measuring device using ultrasound signals

The device has a measuring tube through which a gas or fluid medium flows. The tube has one or more pairs of sound transducers each comprising a clamp-on ultrasound transducer which operates in reception mode and one which operates in transmission mode. The cross-section of the tube is essentially a pentagon. One side, on which the transducers are arranged, forms a rectangle with two adjacent sides. The opposite sides form an angle of less than 180 degrees.
