The heating system for hot water supplies has two separate tanks. The upper heat store (1), with a 200 liter capacity filled with antifreeze free of FCKW or sunflower oil, is heated by solar or additional energy, and is wholly separated from the hot water tank by a metal plate (2), to prevent the contents of both tanks mingling together. The water supply is heated by three heat exchangers. They are in the upper tank, the heated metal plate (2) and an additional heat exchanger (3) of the solar unit at the base of the main tank, which is activated by the sunlight to keep the water hot. The hot water supply outlet, directly under the metal plate, gives a constant supply of hot water.
