PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the creep of a vehicle by restricting the creep driving force at the minimum to be generated at the initial time when an engine is restarted against the driver's intention. SOLUTION: When a condition for automatically stopping engine is satisfied, and on the other hand, engine revolution is transmitted to a driving wheel through a torque converter 4, an engine 1 is stopped, and when a condition for restarting the engine is satisfied, a restarting motor 2 is started so as to restart the engine 1. When a condition for restarting engine against the driver's intention is discriminated to find the engine restarting against the driver's intention, the creep driving force smaller than engine restarting with the driver's intention is generated for the predetermined time. During this predetermined time, the engine is not started, and the motor 2 is only rotated, and the creep driving force is restricted small. |
