A method and a system for providing a service transmitting an SMS(Short Message Service) linked with a homepage as an MMS(Multimedia Messaging Service) are provided to transmit MMS by making a sender make an SMS message, generating an MMS message linking the SMS message with a photo or background music of a sender homepage, and transmitting the MMS message to a receiver. A sender terminal(110) transmits an SMS message including a special number, a receiver phone number, and message contents. An SMS server(130) transmits the SMS message to a service server(140) by checking the special number, and transmits a callback SMS to a receiver terminal(190) when a callback SMS transmission request is received. The service server receives a photo and background music from a homepage server(150) by analyzing the message contents, generates a Flash file by combining the SMS message, the photo, and the background music, and requests an MMS server(180) to transmit an MMS message including the Flash file to the receiver terminal. The receiver terminal operates a WAP(Wireless Application Protocol) browser by receiving the callback SMS from the SMS server and receives the MMS message by connecting to the MMS server based on a URL(Uniform Resource Locator) included in the callback SMS. |
