<p>PURPOSE: To lighten a disc brake by making the deformation amount of a support small. CONSTITUTION: An outer projection part 32 and an inner projection part 34 are formed on the backs of an outer friction pad 16 and an inner friction pad 18. A clearanceδ2 is formed at the non-brake time between these projection parts 32, 34 and the side surface 67 of a caliper claw 66 and an inner periphery surface 63 of a piston 62. This clearanceδ2 is larger than the clearanceδ1 between the end surface of a projection 31 formed on the friction pads 16, 18 and the bottom surface 35 of the guide groove 33 of the support 12. When a high brake force is generated, the project parts 32, 34 are made in press contact with the side surface 67 and the inner periphery surface 63 and a brake torque is transmitted to the caliper 42 through them. The brake torque transmitted to the caliper 42 is transmitted to the opposite anchor side of the support 12 through the main guide pin 38 of a rotor turning in side.</p> |
