PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily register and retrieve stack data of footprint data used to design a wiring board. SOLUTION: Shape definitions capable of parameter input are previously made for stack data having a complicated shape. According to the definitions, numerals for respective parameters are inputted on a display screen based upon certain rules. Consequently, the stack data are plotted. A code for retrieval is given to the plotted shape, which is registered in a library to enable the retrieval of the stack data. Further, retrieval based upon the numeral of a parameter is enabled so that data generated in the past can efficiently be retrieved, and detailed retrieval based upon the parameter numeral is enabled. Consequently, an electric CAD library is provided which makes it easy to plot, register, and retrieve various stack data.
