PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a pull-in feeling of torque by simple structure in a continuously variable transmission with an infinitely variable speed ratio (IVT). SOLUTION: A planetary gear mechanism 7 is interposed between a CVT input shaft 9 and a CVT output shaft 10. In the high resume of connecting a direct-coupled mode clutch 27, a carrier 23 of the planetary gear mechanism 7 is connected with an engine 2, and a sun gear 22 is connected with a driving wheel 40. A ring gear 25 in a free state is provided with an inertia torque applying mechanism 31 for applying predetermined inertia torque. The inertia toque applying mechanism 31 includes a driven gear 28 rotated following the ring gear 25, and an inertia member 29 rotatable integrally with the driven gear 28.
