PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic solvent based sulfonated polyarylene composition which has a reduced solution viscosity and is excellent in film forming properties, realizing the formation of a thick film, and gives a film excellent in surface smoothness, and has excellent physical properties free from defects such as pinholes by adding a specified solvent to the sulfonated polyarylene solution. SOLUTION: The polyarylene composition contains (A) a sulfonated polyarylene and (B) a solvent mixture comprising (b1) 5-75 wt.% alcohol having a boiling point of 100 deg.C or lower and (b2) 95-25 wt.% organic solvent having a boiling point above 100 deg.C [the total of (b1) and (b2) being 100 wt.%]. |
