PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve access to a file, or the like with a simple configuration while improving security.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus generates an image ID for identifying acquired image data, and an encryption key to the image data, encrypts the image data, and adds the image ID to the encrypted image data to transmit the encrypted image data to a terminal device. The terminal device receives the encrypted image data with the image ID added thereto. The terminal device retrieves the image forming apparatus in accordance with a user operation for using the encrypted image data, and transmits an acquisition request for the encryption key including the image ID added to the image data to the detected image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus transmits the encryption key to the terminal device in response to the request from the terminal device. The terminal device receives the encryption key from the image forming apparatus, uses the received encryption key, and decrypts the encrypted image data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
