Apparatus for hospital and domestic use, comprised of an insulating cabinet (I) provided with a cover and a sealed closure (3). Inside this wooden cabinet, polyester or metal box, there is provided a cylinder-shaped housing with two notches formed by a polyester block which is itself lined with insulating materials: exfoliated vermiculite, expanded glass, glass wool...said cylinder receives a container intended to hold food at a temperature of 100<o>C. An inner accessory apparatus, comprised of superposed baskets, intended to take the place of the container is provided: it may produce yoghurts, ripen unripe or exotic fruits, preserve food. As an alternative, there is provided a system for an openable door concealing the cover closure, and maintaining said cover closed, and a dial thermometer provided with a sensitive point, in contact with the cylinder, to control the temperature; an insulating support is also provided in order to use a container having a reduced capacity.
