PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oil ink composition used for ball point pens and giving a first written letter scarcely blurred, even after stored for a long period. SOLUTION: This oil ink composition for ball point inks contains at least 10-45 wt.% of a coloring material such as a dye or a pigment, 35-80 wt.% of a solvent such as a glycolic solvent, a glycol ether-based solvent or an alcoholic solvent, 5-50 wt.% of a resin, and 0.5-5 wt.% of cholesteryl isostearate.
