<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix type liquid crystal display element in which each of aperture areas of respective pixels is widened to secure high luminance. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of pixel electrodes 4 arranged in column and row directions and a plurality of TFTs 5 arranged respectively corresponding to the plurality of pixel electrodes 4 in every region between arrangement columns of the pixel electrodes 4 and connected to the pixel electrodes 4 are provided on the inner surface of one substrate 1 of a pair of facing substrates sandwiching a liquid crystal layer 3 and a counter electrode 17 forming a plurality of pixels 18 and light shielding films 20 comprising a plurality of color filters 19R, 19G and 19B and formed in a shape covering boundary parts of the color filters are formed on the inner surface of the other substrate 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
