PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a mold capable of having high strength and reducing the gas generation amount during molding by using a saccharide as a binder.SOLUTION: A binder coated refractory material 1, which is formed by coating a surface of a refractory aggregate with a solid coating layer containing the saccharide as a binder, is filled in a mold tool 2, the binder in the coating layer is solidified or hardened by heating the binder coated refractory material 1 with a steam blown in the mold tool 2, and thereby, a molding 3 in which the refractory aggregate is bound with the binder is molded in the mold tool 2. After the molding 3 is taken out from the mold tool 2, the mold is produced by applying heat treatment to the molding 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
